Holy Week Services

From the thrill of Palm Sunday’s entrance to the holy city, through the despair of Good Friday, and the joyous celebration of our risen Christ on Easter Sunday we welcome you to come join in any or all of the opportunities to worship with us. Here are the services for Holy Week:

Sunday, March 29th join us at 10:00 am as we celebrate Palm Sunday with the children passing out palms as they march into the sanctuary.

Thursday, April 2nd join us at 7:00 pm and share the Last Supper with Christ and his disciples. Communion will be served.

Friday, April 3rd gather at 7:00 pm in sadness as we bear witness to the agony and crucifixion of our Lord.

Easter Sunday, April 5th come celebrate with us at 10:00 am as we hear the joyous news that Christ lives! He has risen from the dead and lives again!! Hallelujah!! Blessed be the name of the Lord!

May the peace of the Lord be with you and your loved ones and may you know the joy that comes with knowing Jesus!

The food bank helps anyone in CT in food distress…see the notes at the bottom of the page for open days, days for drop off donations, questions, etc. I’ll do better next month…God willing!! During this cold weather, stay safe and warm wherever you may find yourself.

Oh Dear! Storm Benjamin’s Coming…Church Closed

With the pending arrival of Storm Benjamin on Sunday through Monday, January 25-26, the decision has been made to close the church for Sunday worship service. Everyone is encouraged to stay home, off the roads, to ensure your safety. But should you need to travel, please use the utmost case as you do. We send our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors, as well as the first responders, fire personnel, road crews, and all other persons who will be doing their best to keep everyone safe.

Happy New Year!

As we welcome in 2026, please take a moment to look over our church newsletter, The Link (shown below). As you read, you’ll see we’re excited to offer a confirmation class, beginning in January. This class affords those young people who are interested, a chance to learn more about their faith and to finally join the church later in the spring.

This newsletter covers both January and February so please note that Ash Wednesday services will be held on February 18th at noon and again at 7pm. As always, we hope you’ll plan to join us in worship on Sunday mornings at 10 am, and to celebrate with us at any of the future events that we’ll offer. Should you wish to contact the church office or leave a message for Pastor Barbara, please call 860-379-2157 and leave a message. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9 to noon each week.

All Saints’ Day Celebration

“For all the saints, who from their labors rest…” Today we celebrated those individuals who have left their earthly homes and now reside with our Father in heaven. They are the ones who helped shape our lives, and who will be sorely missed in the days and years to come. We remember with love and gratitude as each name was read aloud during the worship service and a candle of remembrance was lit in their honor.
