Community Food Bank Calendar: April 2023
Shown below is the April calendar for the Community Food Bank, housed at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. The food bank serves the towns of Barkhamsted and New Hartford. Please see the notations at the bottom of the calendar regarding dates they are open and how to leave donations.
Holy Week Services
Sunday, April 2nd, marks the beginning of Holy Week with Palm Sunday. Worship service is at 10am and all are welcome. Additional services during Holy Week are scheduled for Maundy Thursday (4/6/23) at 7pm and a Good Friday Service at 7pm the following day. Our Easter Sunday worship will be at 10am on Sunday, April 9th. All of our events and services are open to the public and all are welcome! Won’t you consider joining us as we face the darkness of Good Friday and the the brightness of the new day on Resurrection Sunday.

Church Service Cancelled Tonight
Due to the bad weather coming in this afternoon and evening, the Pastor has decided to cancel the 7pm Ash Wednesday service here at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTION: On page 7 of the Link, showing the calendar for the Food Bank, please note that the food bank will NOT be open on Monday, February 20th or Thursday, February 23rd.
The February edition of our church newsletter, The Link, is shown below. We’ve some events coming up, like the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, and the two Ash Wednesday services, one at noon and the other at 7pm on February 22nd. Our church also hosts bible study groups on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10am. All events are open to everyone and we encourage you to come worship with us whenever you can.Check out this edition of The Link and join with us at anything and everything!

Our December Church Newsletter is Here!!
The newsletter for Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church is now shown below. We’ve got some exciting events planned for December, beginning on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:30am to 2pm where you can visit Silent Auction tables filled with terrific gifts, a Bake Sale table with lots of yummy goodies, and a Christmas Tag Sale Room. A simple soup lunch will be available from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Plan to come visit our event on December 3rd and we’re sure you’ll find some great items for Christmas gifts!
You’ll also find listed in the Link newsletter, information regarding our special Christmas services. Everyone is welcome to come and join us in worship and enjoy this special season together.
