The Sunrise Service at 7am on Easter morning was a music filled celebration of the resurrection of our Lord. Although the sun didn’t shine, the 40 or so attendees did as they greeted one another with Allelujah! Congregents from several churches participated in the service, and local pastors shared in the time of worship. Following the short service, a community breakfast was held in the church’s Fellowship Hall where pancakes and the fixin’s, along with eggs and sausage, and some pasty goodies was served.
The 9:30 am worship service was another celebration of Christ’s victory over death, and the almost 100 folks who gathered together were pleased to see the lovely spring flowers that adorned both the Narthex and the Sanctuary. Easter blessings to you all!
This Easter Cross arrangement greets everyone as they enter the Narthex of the church. The altar in the Sanctuary looked especially lovely this Easter morning.

We invite everyone to come to any and all of these opportunities to worship and celebrate the joy that has come to pass. Our Living Lord has risen from the dead and reigns forever!

Today’s sermon was a great one to read over again. If you missed being in church to hear Pastor Trudy deliver this message today, here’s your chance to read it over. It will enlighten your mind…and your heart. We all are in need of a second chance.
What a joy it was on Sunday to have so many Boy Scouts take part in our worship service to celebrate Scout Sunday. The Boy Scouts presented their colors at the beginning of the service, and then we all recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the US flag. During the service, the boys recited the Boy Scout pledge and the Boy Scout law. It was a well organized program and highlighted their commitment to the Boy Scout ideals. Impressive young men!!
The February 2016 edition of our church newsletter, the Link, is now available online. Click the Link tab at the top of the page to see what’s happening at our church this month! Remember, all are welcome to come join us for our events.
Again this year the men of the church will host the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. All are welcome to come join us at 6PM on February 9th. The event is free although a Good Will Donation basket will be available to help defray the costs of the supper.
This year the Lenten Bible Study will take place Sunday evenings at 7PM beginning on February 7th, and concluding on Palm Sunday evening. The study will be on “The ‘Eschatological Event’, or in Jesus’ words ‘the end times’. This topic will be explored using Biblical References such as found in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 13:1-27 and Mark 13:24-37, speaking about Christ’s return. It’s not a ‘predictive’ study of when or placing a ‘time’ for it to occur. However, it is a study to provoke thoughts and to introduce ‘peace’ – even in the midst of the storms (such as all that is occurring that produces fear and anxiety). Everyone is invited to attend; there is no charge but a donation basket will be available. Bring your Holy Bible and note book to take notes and to share your thoughts.
