Farewell service for Pastor Trudy
It was a lovely service this morning in church, although bittersweet in many ways. The music was awesome (thanks David), the solo inspiritional (thanks Pastor), but it was a farewell service for our pastor of 5 years, Trudy Codd. She brought us the word of God, and helped us along our journey of faith. Now she will retire for awhile to allow her body and mind to rest and heal, before she jumps into service once again, in some form, to spread the message of love from the Father. We wish you all the best as you move along your life’s journey, Pastor Trudy.
Blessings Abound!
Today was a wonderful worship service in many ways. Those in attendance were blessed twice (or more!!) when we welcomed a beautiful little girl into our church family through her baptism. And it was a joy to see the face of Dan Abbott, a long time member of our church family who now makes his home in the west. Dan was in the area and stopped in for a brief visit. Blessings to little Riley and her family, and blessings and travel mercies to Dan as he makes his way back home. Such joy today!!

Youth Sunday Worship Service
This past Sunday, April 30th, was Youth Sunday in our church. The entire service, from the ringing of the bell to the benediction, was planned conducted by our youth. The kids did a wonderful job of sharing their faith and love of the Lord with the congregation. We all enjoyed the important Children’s Sermon on kindness, the beautiful special music, the scripture verses that were chosen, and the personalized sermon message that was shared. You could see that the years they have spent passing through the Sunday School classes, along with the help of their parents, have proved that the messages of the Bible have gone to their hearts. We thank them all for their time and talent that was shared so freely with us all.

Maundy Thursday Worship Service
Easter Week Services
Easter week is upon us and tomorrow at the 9:30 am worship service we will be waving the palm branches as we remember Jesus riding on the donkey amid much acclaim from the people. As the week progresses worship services will be held on Maundy Thursday at 7pm in remembrance of the last supper that Jesus shared with his disciples. A 7pm service on Good Friday will remind us of Jesus’ agony and death on the cross. The celebration of the resurrection will take place on Easter Sunday at 9.30am.
On Good Friday, during the hours from noon until 3pm, the church will be open for anyone who wishes to come and spend some time in the Sanctuary. Pastor Trudy will be on-site and the movie “The Passion of the Christ” will be shown during this time. Everyone is welcome to come and meditate on the events that happened so long ago.
An Easter Sunrise service will be held at 6:30am at North Congregational Church in New Hartford with a community breakfast to follow. Everyone is encouraged to join in this special event.
