Program Presented by Susan B. Anthony: Sexual Assault/Harrassment

As you are already aware, there is a lot of conversation lately regarding the #metoo movement and how it effects the lives of its victims. There also seems to be some questions that need to be answered about how to protect yourself and how to speak up should the need arise. To this point, our women’s group at PVUMC are planning an event open to the public to address some of these concerns. On Thursday, July 26th at 7 pm we will host a guest speaker from Susan B. Anthony to help us to better understand these issues. We encourage anyone to come, especially those young folks who will be heading off to college and away from home in the near future. You can’t be too careful these days!

First Outdoor Family Movie Night

Looking for some FREE FAMILY FUN this Saturday night? Grab your lawn chair or a blanket and even bring a picnic if you’d like. The Pleasant Valley United Methodist church is having their first outdoor movie and we’re showing the movie WONDER! The weather looks perfect for our first ever event so plan to come and join us and watch a great movie.

Family Movie Night!

For a fun community event, our church will host a Family Movie Night and everyone is welcome to come join in the fun. We’re planning on Saturday, July 14th (rain date the 21st). Come at 7:00 pm, bring a picnic supper to eat on the lawn, and, of course, a lawn chair to be comfy. The movie, yet TBD, will begin at dusk. Once the decision is made on the film to be shown, I’ll update this post. It should be a fun evening and we hope to see you there.
