Pastor Mike and Karen have arrived!!
Well, we’re off to a great start! We welcomed Pastor Mike and Karen, and some of their family and friends, at the worship service Sunday morning. He let us know who he is…but more importantly what he is…a man who is a disciple of Jesus Christ! He invited us all to join with him to glory in the Lord’s grace and love. The coffee hour was well attended and enjoyed by everyone! We’re glad you’re with us Pastor Mike and we look forward to your guidance as we travel our road of faith together.
PVUMC in the annual July 4th Parade
“New pastor in town” read one of the banners that made up the PVUMC group of marchers! We welcome Pastor Mike and Karen to Pleasant Valley and we’re looking forward to getting to know them better as the days go by. There was a great group of marchers this year…and outstanding music to help move everyone forward. Thanks to Angela and all the helpers who helped us put ‘our best foot forward’ on this lovely hot day!

This month we will welcome our new pastor, Michael Antici, and his wife, Karen, to PVUMC. Pastor Mike’s first “assignment” will be to march in the July 4th parade here in Pleasant Valley! He will proceed our “float” featuring our organist, David Zucker, and some children from the Sunday School. Come and say hello!
Welcome Pastor Michael and Karen Antici
Our new pastor, Michael Antici and his wife, Karen, will start their journey with us at PVUMC on Sunday, July 7th, at the 9:30am service. While Pastor Mike and Karen are getting familiar with our church family, there will be no early Sunday 8am service, and no Wednesday evening service of prayer and praise. In addition, please note the time change for the Sunday service, which is now 9:30am.
We invite you to join us this Sunday for the worship service and the special coffee hour to welcome Pastor Mike and Karen to the Valley.
Farewell to Pastor Lee and Polly Gangaware
This Sunday, June 23rd, will be Pastor Lee and Polly’s final worship services with us at PVUMC. Please join us at either the 8am service or the 9 am service. There will be a shortened service at 9am to allow time for Pastor Lee and Polly to share time with us at a special coffee hour. Come and wish them well as they continue their journey of faith! We’re gonna miss them!
Pastoral Transition Meeting: June 4th at 7pm
On Tuesday June 4th at 7 PM there will be a Pastoral Transition Meeting for all Church Congregants! Our new incoming Pastor Michael Antici, Church Consultant The Rev. Doctor Dennis Winkleblack and Pastor Lee will be there for this NY Conference mandated program. Here’s a great opportunity for you to come meet our new pastor and to see how we can make this transition a smooth one. Hope to see you all there!

This month we will bid farewell to Pastor Lee and Polly Gangaware. They have served in Pleasant Valley going on 3 years and we’re sad to see them leave. If you would like to say good-bye to them, their last Sunday at PVUMC will be on June 23rd. Please come and join us for worship at either the 8am or 9am services.
God has been working to fulfill the needs here at PVUMC and will be sending someone to guide us along in our faith very soon. He will be with us beginning the first Sunday in July. When more details are available, we’ll post them here. In the meantime, know that our God is ever faithful and will continue to provide for all our needs.
